The night of December 11th saw our first snowfall of the winter, and the cold temperature meant that the snow stayed on the ground for a week. Our chair, Glenys, ventured into the snow and took these pictures of the CREOS area. The heavy snow presents a problem for wildlife seeking food, particularly birds. For some useful tips on how you can help our birds at this time of year, visit the RSPB website here>>.

The snow has now disappeared and a white Christmas is looking unlikely, but the cold weather could well return in the New Year.

We wish all CREOS members and visitors a very Happy Christmas.
