Our next conservation day will be held on Sunday 11th September, starting at 11am. We will be meeting by the CREOS noticeboard on the allotment access road (between 85 & 87 Wood Vale). Tasks will include widening the path through the hazel coppice, cutting back ivy and other growth on the edging logs and cutting back nettles. Additionally we will be getting rid of little poplars sprouting on the school field and among the young trees in the copse. The weather forecast promises sunshine, and everyone is welcome, no knowledge of conservation required, just enthusiasm! A picnic lunch and refreshments will be provided afterwards at about 1pm.
